The promotion is open to residents of mainland UK only. This offer is not open to employees of ViewSonic, their agents, wholesalers, resellers, retail staff, retailers, participating stockists or anyone connected with the promotion.
Claims must be submitted by the end user customer only. Resellers may not submit claims on behalf of their customers.
Claims must be submitted online and received by us with a copy of the invoice after 30 days of the purchase date and within 60 days. Claims will not be accepted before or after the claim window. The instructions contained within the promotional website and the published process form part of the terms and conditions of the offer.
We reserve the right to closely monitor usage of the promotional website, including users IP addresses, so that we may identify misuse, and disqualify applications if we have reason to believe the terms of the promotion have been breached.
After requesting a part-exchange valuation it is not compulsory for you to take up the price offered, and you can still proceed with the purchase of your new computer.
This promotion is only open and applicable to the purchase of specific qualifying products from participating retailers and therefore shown on the product purchase invoice. One part exchange per qualifying product purchased only will be accepted.
The offer is not transferrable to another individual or business; claims will only be accepted by the original purchaser.
If a claim is refused, because the Terms of the offer have not been met, the promoter’s decision is final. ViewSonic reserves the right to withdraw the promotion without notice.
In order to qualify, you must submit your application after 30 days of purchasing your product (and not before), by submitting an application you agree to these terms in their entirety. After the initial 30 day waiting period, you have a claim period of 30 days in which to complete your claim.
The closing date for applications is 2nd March 2011. Any applications received after this date will be deemed invalid.
The computer you wish to part-exchange, along with the original accessories, including mains adapter/lead & battery, which must be from one of the qualifying manufacturers listed below. For your Laptop or Netbook to qualify as “working” it must be fully operational:
The Laptop or Netbook powers up & has working display, keyboard and mouse. The hard drive or solid state memory is functional, has working RAM & CPU, working optical drive (if present), motherboard is fully operational & all ancillary functions (USB ports, VGA out etc) are working, if laptop, the main battery holds some charge. The machine to be traded should not be damaged. General wear & tear (scratches, loose hinges, some dead pixels) are accepted
All accessories e.g. battery, mains adapter and lead, must be fully operational.
The product to be traded in must be no older than 4 years.
To qualify for the promotion you must send the following:
A completed claim form.
A copy of your purchase invoice clearly detailing the purchase of your new qualifying product from a participating retailer and dated within the promotional period – despatch notes etc are not acceptable.
Applications will be screened for validity to ensure that the transaction made is a bona fide purchase of the qualifying product.
Your proof of purchase will not be posted back to you – please do not send the original.
The Laptop or Netbook you wish to part-exchange, along with the original mains adapter/lead & battery (which must be able to hold some charge).
If any of the items required to make your traded in Laptop or Netbook fully operational are missing from the valuation, or if the Laptop or Netbook is not as described, you will receive a revised valuation by email, If this is not acceptable there will be a cost for returning the trade in of £12, payable before its return
Deletion of all confidential data and information, which are in each case subject to applicable data protection legislation, and are possibly stored on the Laptop or Netbook to be traded is the responsibility of the customer. Prior to sending the part exchange Laptop or Netbook, it is the customer’s responsibility to delete data from the hard drive and any other storage media in the product and remove any removable storage media, for example; floppy disks, CDs or PC cards. The promoter accepts no responsibility for lost or confidential data and software. Upon receipt of the Laptop or Netbook to be part exchanged all data will be destroyed. Please note we are unable to retrieve any customer data once a computer has been received.
Provided that the terms and conditions of this promotion have been met, and your part-exchanged computer matches the description you have given, a bank transfer will be sent within 56 days of validation of your trade in with application.
Proof of posting will not be accepted as proof of receipt. ViewSonic cannot accept liability for any applications lost, damaged or destroyed in the post and recommend using an insured postal service.
ViewSonic is not responsible or liable for any technical, hardware, software, server, website, or other failures or damage of any kind to the extent that this prevents the participant from or otherwise obstructs him/her in participating in the promotion.
Please note valid claims are capped at a maximum of 10 per household or business, and must be purchased via a participating retailer

As part of this promotion valid claimants in the UK will receive a £10 contribution to their shipping costs in addition to the relevant cash back amount re their purchase and trade in.
